The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant program provides up to $4,000.00 per year to students who intend to teach full- time in a high need subject area and at a school listed on the Teacher Cancellation Low Income Directory for at least four years within eight years of graduating or ceasing enrollment in the program for which the grant was received. TEACH Grant annual award amounts have been impacted by the Federal Sequester that went into effect on March 1, 2013. Eligible award amounts are based on enrollment status and date of award disbursement. Students who do not fulfill this obligation will have the TEACH Grant funds converted to a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan with interest accrued from the date the grant funds were disbursed.
